    Hi all.
I have a question about the alarm for the MG 6. I have had the issue others have mentioned on here where it will randomly go off, I ended up removing it before putting it back on recently.

I am debating getting a new alarm but the issue I have is the one that's faulty isn't really very loud. After having the car broken into recently it sounded really pathetic and no one on my road even heard it go off.

Should I bother with a new one at 50 quid if it's quiet or is it possible to fit an alarm system that isn't MG 6 standard? If so what are the recommendations?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

The trim on my car around the doors is pretty faded and patchy now and I was wondering what is best to use to bring it back to black or at least to an even finish rather than being patchy.

Any tips or recommendations of products to use would be great.

Also if anyone know what would be good to use to help improve the seal around the driver side door, that would be great (it's currently leaking if it rains quite heavy or for a long period of time and drips onto the driver's seat, it's not major but ideally I'd like to get it fixed to prevent it happening again) the door looks misaligned slightly, probably due to previous owners getting out of the car and leaning on it which has dropped it slightly?

    TIA :cheer:

  • Recommended garages
    Thanks David

I'll shop around but will keep Maple in mind when it comes to service the car, always a bonus to spend the day at the coast too =)

    Hi

I'm sorry if I have missed a post about this previously but I was just wondering of any garages people would recommend?

Particularly in the North West where I am based.

Now I have an MG 6 and knowing there not as common as other cars I don't want to go to any old garage that will do anything shoddy

Ideally somewhere that does services as well as other stuff, be it an independent garage or a main dealer garage what are the recommendations

(feel free to post any from any area of the country, I'm sure it may be useful for others at some point?)

    Cheers

  • MG6 petrol bits and pieces
Thanks for getting back. No worries, I thought it was a long shot.

Enjoying the 3 then? Luckily no snow here, keeps melting before I need to drive off anywhere.

out of curiosity, are any of these bits still available? (I somehow doubt it given when this was posted, but worth an ask)

    Cheers,
    Dan
