Did you ever find out about this? Or does anyone else know of an alternate to the Saic filter?

Thanks on advance

No problem I bought one a Delphi Hdf 592 but this didn't fit, the thread for the sensor at the bottom was wrong. I've now bought a MEYLE 37-14 323 0007 which should fit, but like you I haven't fitted yet. I'll post if successful?
Thanks for the reply.

No the Meyle filter doesn't fit either. I've bit the bullet and ordered an original one from Mg, I still think £70 for a fuel filter is ridiculous, but since I've been unable to source an alternative it'll need to do. At least I can fit it myself.

I fitted the original on Thursday, took less than an hour. Stupid place to put the thing. Having to remove the battery and disconnect the ECU, remove battery tray which also holds the ECU.  The connector at the bottom on the sensor must be removed blind but it's easy enough. As for your misfire and warning I had similar after I first got the car, the battery had gotten quite low on charge and the 6 did not like this. Maybe a test on the battery might stop the warning, give it a good charge, it may be on its way out, just a thought? Not sure about the misfire.

Thanks for the reply Redzpete

Have a good weekend.

HUNTING ON THE INTERNET  FOR MG6 FUEL FILTER CAME ACROSS VALEO OEM PART [ I THINK THIS MEANS THEY MADE THE ORIGINALS AND PUT SAIC ON PART ] ABOUT HALF ORIGINAL PRICE ..Charged the battery like you said and haven't had the misfire all week, can't believe its due to low battery though,in my mind maybe due to milder weather. all the best
